Pete Coombes embarked on his automotive journey in 1968 as an Apprentice Auto Engineer at Ford Motor Co UK. Over the years, he honed his skills, transitioning to roles such as Research and Development Engineer in 1973 and Carburettor Kit Development Engineer for a UK-based Aftermarket Parts Manufacturer in 1981. In 1983, Pete took on the role of Sales Engineer at Sun Diagnostic Equipment UK, delving into the sales aspect of automotive technology. His expertise led him to author his first book, “Fuel Injection System Diagnosis,” aimed at auto technicians, in 1986. In 1987, Pete launched his own UK company specializing in Tech Support for Auto Repair Technicians, a venture that would span three decades. Throughout this period, he authored and published numerous technical books, tech bulletins, and magazine articles, establishing himself as an authority in the field. Pete provided technical training and operated a technical hotline, serving the automotive community across the UK. In 2017, Pete transitioned his focus to providing online and face-to-face technical training, a role he continues to excel in until the present day, sharing his wealth of knowledge and expertise with the next generation of auto repair technicians.
